Let’s talk about web site hosting providers for a little bit. If you are just starting your new business venture, one of the first things you’ll want to do is get a website so you too can have an Internet presence. How do you get a website developed? I’ll assume you know nothing about this process so I’ll be as basic as I can.
Step 1 – Website / Domain Name Registration
The first thing you need to do is pick a website name or domain name that you want visitors to use. You can pick anything you want that is not already taken but try to pick something that is relevant to the information you are going to have on your website. You can check to see if your domain or website name is available at websites like www.GoDaddy.com
. GoDaddy allows you to register your domain or website name through them. Typically I like to register my domain name separately from where I actually will host a client’s websites in case there is a need to move the website to a different website hosting provider in the future.
What I like about www.GoDaddy.com for domain name or website name registry is that it has a very nice domain name management user interface. On the control panel you can easily see when your domain name will expire and you can renew it right from there.
If you decide to use www.GoDaddy.com
, leave a comment on what you think. If you have any problems, please post a comment so others can be aware also.

For most of you that have smartphones I’m sure you heard about AT&T’s plan to discontinue unlimited data. I have to admit I’m not a fan of AT&T but this move is just another that shows AT&T’s network has problems. When the iPhone becomes available on another carrier, AT&T will have bigger problems. This move does 2 things in my opinion:
1) Provides lower data consuming customers a cheaper data plan alternative
2) Curves the appetite of data hogs like myself on AT&T network.
I’m glad I’m on Verizon’s network and hopefully they don’t follow suit!
What are your thoughts?

Well, we tried BlogSpot but it just didn’t feel the same integrated feeling as having a WordPress powered blog site. So what did we do? We installed one and here it is. Note sure how much customizing is going to be done yet though. The simple look and feel for getting messages out seem like the right approach.
Setting up a WordPress powered blog site was very simple. All you really need is the right Hosting ISP that supports WP requirements. If you need help setting up WordPress, let us know!

Jona Tech needs to blog about Google’s Android because it seems most none techy people don’t have any idea what it is and how it relates to consumer electronics and mobile phones.
First and foremost, Google’s Android is an operating system or OS for short. It’s like Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7 are OS’s for your PC. Like Microsoft, Google is providing Android to all or most mobile phone manufacturers to use and it’s available on most carriers – Verizon, TMobile, Sprint. Unlike Microsoft Windows, Android is open for modifications by all that use it and can be customized. In short Android is the Windows equivalent for cell phones.
Android is available to multiple cell phone makers like LG, Motorola, HTC, Samsung, and many others. The widely popular iPhone OS is available ONLY to Apple iPhones. Who will win the battle for the cell phone space? By the looks of our Preferred Smartphone OS Poll – it’s too close to tell right now.
